STINKING LIZAVETA are set to give you a nice ear massage and cut you some new haircuts!! A chance for everyone to get a show of the shredding outfit that is STINKING LIZAVETA. Not only that, the band has just finished work on their new album under the working title “Moral Hazard”, which will be out on label Exile On Mainstream in late August 2012,. Baltimore kings STINKING LIZAVETA take advantage from Frank Zappa and shape their skills into something completely outstanding and extraordinary.
For this set of gigs STINKING LIZAVETA have teamed up with Brian Daniloski aka DARSOMBRA, to some of you known from his tour with WINO and CONNY OCHS in 2010. DARSOMBRA also will have a new album out on Exile On Mainstream in early September 2012 to coincide with this tour.
IDES OF GEMINI is a collusion of musical forces precipitated by the haunting and inimitable vocal prowess of singer/bassist Sera Timms, also of Los Angeles dark-psych alchemists BLACK MATH HORSEMAN. The compositions are the long-simmering mental fallout of veteran music and film journalist J. Bennett (guitar/backing vocals), who has spent most of the last 14 years writing for such publications as Decibel, Terrorizer, Revolver, Alternative Press and Thrasher. The third and final corner of the triangle is Kelly Johnston, whose martial drumming techniques and soaring backing vocals literally brought IDES OF GEMINI to life as a performing entity. Full-length debut, Constantinople, now out on Neurot Recordings.
UNDERSMILE long-awaited debut album Narwhal out now Future Noise Recordings on, The album, which follows 2010′s A Sea of Dead Snakes EP and last year’s split EP with Caretaker, is a progression into darker, heavier territory for the band. Clocking in at just under the 80-minute mark, Narwhal was co-produced and mixed by the band and Jimmy “Evil” Hetherington and mastered by the legendary Billy Anderson.

Hank Williams III (Hank 3) will be playing this Friday (22nd June) in Manchester at Academy 3, the line up includes Hank 3 + Hellbilly + Attention Deficit Domination + 3 Bar Ranch, full tour details below.
Hank Williams III (aka Hank 3) is a singer, drummer, bassist, and guitarist. In addition to his honky tonk recordings, Williams’ style alternates between country, punk and metal. He is the principal member of the punk metal band Assjack, the drummer for the Southern hardcore punk band Arson Anthem formed with Phil Anselmo and Mike Williams of the sludge band Eyehategod, and was the bassist for Pantera singer Phil Anselmo’s band Superjoint Ritual.
Since the third-generation rebel’s most recent LP, 2010’s aptly titled ‘Rebel Within’, he’s gotten off Curb Records and launched his own label, the Megaforce-distributed Hank3 Records (the new moniker to distinguish/a representation of his post-Curb career). He’s also been busy, to say the least, writing and recording FOUR albums at once—Ghost to a Ghost/Guttertown, a double LP of refracted country music, the literally unprecedented 3 Bar Ranch Cattle Callin and the sludgy Attention Deficit Domination and which all dropped on the very same day.
20th June – London, Electric Ballroom
21st June – Birmingham, The Library
22nd June – Manchester, The Academy
23rd June – Belfast, Spring & Airbrake
24th June – Dublin, Button Factory

Future Noise and The Sleeping Shaman are very excited to be supporting this show for the excellent BOB WAYNE & THE OUTLAW CARNIES at The Roadhouse in Manchester on the 7th June, that’s This Thursday!! ….So if you like your country outlaw style (Johnny Cash, Hank 3) get yourself down to The Roadhouse for a rebel rousing night, support comes in the shape of Luna Vegas – Psychobilly Mayhem (Ex-Stench).
Tickets are £9 and are available from www.ticketweb.co.uk.
If you have an hour and 1/2 to kill, here’s a video of what to expect of a full show by BOB WAYNE & THE OUTLAW CARNIES which was filmed earlier this year in Nashville, Tennessee.
BOB WAYNE Biography
One can always best gauge success by the number of people their music touches and has a positive impact on, not by the sheer amount of units sold. This has never been more evident than in the case of the immensely talented singer/songwriter/performer and dynamic storyteller BOB WAYNE, who has just inked a worldwide deal with People Like You Records. Best known for his leather vest, bandana and revolving crew of banjo players, fiddle players and upright bassists, BOB WAYNE carries the torch for the outlaw country tradition with a modern punk snarl. His fan base runs the gamut and his music offers something for everyone and always starts a party.
Bob’s debut label offering “Outlaw Carnie” forsakes none of the gritty truth of his three prior releases, even if this one isn’t slapped on a burned CD-R and sold in a plastic sandwich bag out of the trunk of his Cadillac limousine.
Doing his best to abide by the traditions of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., the forerunners of his friend (and patron-of-sorts) Hank III, BOB WAYNE adds his own spin to the echoes of the past as well. He walks, talks and breathes the road warrior lifestyle.
“With this new album for People Like You, we really took our time,” Bob says proudly of his first worldwide release. “We took some of the songs I wasn’t happy with and re-recorded them with a full band, mixed them and added new instrumentation. I’ve sang some of these songs over the last four years, so the songs have changed. Sometimes the songs morph, I sing them with more character. This record has some songs you haven’t heard and songs I’ve changed completely.”
Outlaw Carnie also boasts an impressive list of buddies and session players, including Nashville-based upright bass player David Roe (who played with Johnny Cash for many years), fiddle player Billy Contreras (who has played fiddle for George Jones) and Bob’s old friends Andy Gibson (who plays with Hank III) and Donnie Harran (Bob Dylan, BR549). Bob states, “Donnie and Andy have been on all of my CDs, they’re amazing musicians”.

And here’s a bit of info about the bands…
Serpent Venom
Serpent Venom arose from the grave in 2008. Originally conceived by Pete Fox (Olde Crone) and enlisting Paul Sutherland (Blood Island Raiders) they sought out Garry Ricketts (Sloth) to tell his tales to the backdrop of their sounds. The weight of the guitar and sheer fury of the drums had to be kept together by bassist Nick. Together they channelled Pete’s riffs, Paul’s thunder and Garry’s tales of sacrifice and woe into the sonic potion that is ‘Carnal Altar’. Receiving high praise from the doom community the band ventured forth to the live arena in support of their Church Within debut.
In 2011, Pete amicably left the band to live in the US and the band have enlisted 6 string wizard Roland Scriver (Sloth, End of Level Boss) to continue their path towards the blessed darkness. Sharing the stage with such bands as Blood Ceremony, Lord Vicar, the Devil’s Blood, Taint, Manatees and Devil to touring with Orchid, Seamount, Conan, Grimpen MIre and Undersmile, the band continue to lay waste to live venues in the UK and Europe.

Black Magician
In an age when music tends towards the derivative, the mechanical, the over-produced, Black Magician cast their attention backwards, and then back some more. The result of many a long discussion in country pubs, and long rambles through the more isolated areas of the English countryside, they formed through mutual appreciation of 70s prog, eerie folklore and a good real ale.
While they confess to being just as influenced by the late 60s British folk scene as by the old guard of heavy metal and doom, there’s no hippy-drippy philosophising here. Black Magician’s ideology is firmly rooted in the sinister. The brooding landscape of Arthur Machen, the haunted countryside of M.R. James, is where they reside most contentedly.
Black Magician distance themselves from the current trend for pseudo-occult rehashed doom posturing and clichéd horror film imagery. What you can expect is something much more sincere, a genuine fascination with the darker side of British history.
Monolithic cosmic-nod-inducing riffs, swirling Hammond organ and dark acoustic passages are the ingredients in this alchemical brew, the resulting concoction a grim incantation, an ode to anti-urbanism, a very English darkness.

UNDERSMILE debut album Narwhal out today on Future Noise Recordings, co-produced and mixed by the band and Jimmy “Evil” Hetherington and mastered by the legendary Billy Anderson. ]]>This DVD filmed on OXBOW’s European tour of 2009 and which coincided with their 20th anniversary follows the seminal band as they tour alone for the first time in many years and is available exclusively in the UK via Future Noise and can be purchased over in our store for £11 HERE.
The three complimentary parts give a rare 360 degree glimpse of the front and backstage realities of touring offers an intimate portrait of a band in full artistic maturity. It sees them undergoing the daily trails of touring with grace and provides sometimes touching and humorous insights into an otherwise mysterious band. The film’s dark cinematic aesthetic was inspired by the atmosphere of OXBOW’s recent work. It echoes its title and is interlaced with live performances and candid interviews in which the band peel away layers of their processes and which bring the viewer as close as it’s possible to get to a band without being in it.
By contrast, the band’s long time sound engineer, Manual Liebeskind’s film “Still Before” is a road dairy filmed entirely on an iphone and covers the entire tour. It widens the cast introducing many more of the behind-the-scenes players involved in making such a tour happen much more raw in its style and making use of still photos as links between scenes, it’s loose, convivial style juxtaposes perfectly with the first film.
The final piece is the live performance in Paris, filmed in its entirety. Impressive in its execution, it serves as a document of the culmination of all the work and energy expended in the two accompanying films.
A delight to watch of anyone, whether familiar with the subject or not, but for a fan of OXBOW an invaluable addition of the collection.

A little bit about the bands….
HARVEY MILK are an American experimental rock/noise rock band that formed in Athens, Georgia in the early 1990s. While Harvey Milk invariably draws comparisons to the Melvins, due to their penchant for slow, heavy riffs, the band has touched upon such artists as ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Leonard Cohen, and Kiss as influences in their music.
Hailing from Blackburn, Lancashire, BASTARD OF THE SKIES have been spewing their own, uniquely filthy, racket since 2006. Through two albums, an EP and a Split LP the band have cemented their own sound by welding massive, lurching, riffs to sludgy noise and discordant melody.
Gigging heavily across the UK the band has evolved into a brutal and unrelenting monster. The drums pound, the bass rumbles, the riffs crush.
Even the occasional moments of melodic respite pave the way for even bigger, more devastating and ferocious, riffs. Along the way the band are proud to have shared the stage with such titans as Baroness, Kylesa, Today Is The Day, Jucifer, Black Sun, Lazarus Blackstar, Volition, Conan, Alunah, Undersmile, Witchsorrow, The Sontaran Experiment and many more.

Undersmile are a dual-female fronted doom/sludge band from Oxford, England that formed in 2009. In less than two years they have released two EPs and played gigs all over England including support slots with Weedeater and Zoroaster at the Camden Underworld and have played the Terrorizer Magazine-sponsored Seven Churches Festival alongside Black Sun, Bong and Dopefight. Both their live shows and their recordings have garnered critical praise for their intense and original take on the doom and sludge genres. They’ve been hailed as “The Future of Doom” by Terrorizer Magazine and their debut album “Narwhal” (which was mastered by sludge legend Billy Anderson) will be released on Future Noise Recordings in May 2012.
Current Releases:
“A SEA OF DEAD SNAKES” – Blindsight Records
“SPLIT EP w/CARETAKER” – Blindsight Records
The album contains eleven soulful tunes written by Wino and Conny together. The songs speak for themselves and personalities shine truth within. The album contains one cover song by Townes Van Zandt – an artist Conny and Wino deeply admire. Four of the songs were written on one day in Berlin in Summer 2011, among them ‘Heavy Kingdom‘ which marks the first song they ever wrote together.
Their first recording session was at the Baltic Sea resort on Rugen island in August 2011, during the beach party/ jam session/ hang out where Wino and Conny first met. The tracks were later twisted into shape in a second recording session at the seminal Kabumm Studios in Berlin. The artwork contains drawings by both artists and follows the dedicated and deeply intense approach of the whole album.
